Today was my first final exam. I totally bombed it! But tomorrow I think, will be different. Cos I'm actually good at these subjects. So, I just got done reading "The Golden Compass" last night. And It was a good book. But I didn't totally like it too much. I don't think I'll continue reading the series. It gave me alot of bad feelings. Not generally about the book it's self, but the nature of the book, I guess you could say. I saw the movie just 5 mins. ago, and I hated it. The movie didn't even go with the book. They took things out of context, totally changed important parts of the story and switched around events and had them take place at different times. It's annoying cos it's like the history text book says one thing, and a movie about the same thing says something else. Instead of Pearl Harbor being bombed on December 9th, it was bombed on June 23rd or something. It's really annoying. I wish they did the movie the way the book was done. I understand, time is an issue, but you can easily cut out unimportant scenes and just reference back to them somewhere in the movie. Which they did PLENTY of that. I felt like I was watching a highlights show after a football game. That's how the whole movie was. Highlights of what really happend. They cut scenes in half and didnt even give the important information. Truthfully, I felt the movie was unorganized and just planly stupid. Although little Lyra did a good job in acting. And they captured Pantalimon's essence very nicely.
